ATX PATHWAY PROJECT
What is Pathway Project?
A Northwest Austin Teen Resource Space to support Self-Directed, Homeschooled and Unschooled Teens in Austin in creating a pathway for their launch!
Our cohort will have access to a variety of materials and ample time to be be in community with their peers while they dive deep into study, prep for college, learn or refine a new skill, prepare for travel… and have access to supportive adults and an environment that is rooted in the values of Self-Directed Education and youth rights.
this much needed space is being launched for Austin Teens (14+) to transition into their desired adulthood outside of the conventional school system. Pathway Project is designed to empower Austin area teens through Self-Directed Education and Youth Rights by providing resources, mentorship, and a supportive community to facilitate their transition into adulthood—whether through college, workforce, or adventure!
We all Know it… Homeschooling and Unschooling is a great way for young people to have a full childhood, to explore their interests and go on adventures!
It allows families the flexibility to offer their young people time and space to grow without the confines of conventional schooling AND what we notice is many of these young people head to high school as a last resort, due to a lack of options for teens who are in transition.
THIS PROGRAM IS FOR A HIGH SCHOOL AGED COHORT TO COME TOGETHER WEEKLY ON FRIDAYS IN NORTH AUSTIN.
